A huge congratualtions to GB Taekwondo's Bianca Walkden who won GB'S 3rd medal at the Rio Olympics winning Bronze in the Female Heavy weight division.
GB have had their best ever Olympic Games in Rio winning 1 Gold 1 Silver & 1 Bronze from 4 athletes who qualified with Mahama Cho narrowly missing out on a 4th medal.
Well done to all the players & coaching staff what an amazing Olympics we had!

Congratulations to another GB Medallist Lutalo Muhammad who won a Silver medal in the men's -80kgs for TEAM GB last night at the Olympic Games in Rio.
Another great performance, 2 players left who compete today Bianca Walkden in the female Heavy weight & Mahama Cho in the mens Heavy. Good Luck!

A massive congratulations from all of us at Scorpion Taekwondo to Great Britains Jade Jones who won GOLD in the Female -57kgs at this years Olympic Games in Rio.
This is Jade's second GOLD after winning GB's first in 2012 at the London Olympics. A true inspiration to all our up and coming competition players!

A HUGE Congratulations to the whole Scorpion Team who competed at this year's British National Championships held in Manchester. Scorpions won 2nd Placed Team Trophy OVERALL coming behind Gurumu and also won 3rd placed Team Trophy for the advanced groups on Saturday coming behind Gurumu & The GB National Academy Team.
Great Performances from the players, thanks to all the coaches, helpers & spectators it was a great weekend.
GOLD MEDALS WON BY Holly Frost (Scorpion Tkd Centre) in the advanced child -23kgs winning 2 matches against Central Tkd 11-0 and her final v WLM by golden point. Macey Hennessey (Scorpion Tkd Centre) also won 2 matches in the advanced child -26kgs winning her semi final v St Katherines 10-6 and her final v Doncaster All Stars 7-5. Emily Watson (Scorpion Tkd Centre) won her Junior division AGAIN 3rd time in a row in advanced -52kgs winning 3 matches on her way to gold winning her 1st match v Anfield 12-2, Emily then won her semi final v St Katherines by 12 point gap after two rounds 16-1 before winning her final v Ultimate Tkd 6-4. Simone Abley (Consett Scorpions) was another former winner winning advanced Cadet -59kgs winning her semi final v Central 14-13 before winning her final v Chi Tkd 4-1 referee stoppage. Stella Whitehead (Scorpion Tkd Centre) was back competing for the first time in 2 years winning her 10th National Title Stella won her semi final v WLM on golden point in the advanced senior -67kgs before winning her final v Spitfire 4-3. Isabelle Adamsons (Scorpion Tkd Centre) Novice child -23kgs won 3 matches winning her 1st match v Kang Han 37-5, 2nd round stoppage. Isabelle then won her semi final v Gurumu 30-7 another 2nd round stoppage before winning her final also against Gurumu 23-20 to win gold scoring a whopping 90 points in her 3 matches! Laurie McLelland (Edlington Scorpions) won gold in Novice Junior -63kgs winning her 1st match 10-6 she then went onto win her final by 12 point stoppage after two rounds 18-1. Our last gold was by veteran Ian Ball (TM Scorpions) who chose to compete in senior Novice -80kgs winning his semi final by K.O he then won his final by 12 point gap.

Good Luck to Scorpion Taekwondo's Jamie Abley who will be competing at this weeks European Championships held in Austria for under 21's.
Jamie will compete on Saturday in the male -68kgs divsion.

A Massive congratulations to Scorpion player Simone Abley on her Bronze medal at this years Cadet World Championships held in Baku Azerbaijan.
Simone was part of the GB National Team for the 1st ever World Championships for Cadet players.
Simone won 3 matches on her way to winning a Bronze medal defeating AKSIUTCHYK, KATSIARYNA from Belarus 29-1, KOVALENKO, MICHELLE of Italy 22-2, PAN, VLADA of Uzbekistan inher quarter final 26-5 before losing out in her semi final to Irans SHOJAEI RAD, ZAHRA.

Congratulations to Scorpion Taekwonod's Simone Abley after winning Bronze at the Cadet European Championships in Bucharest, Romania on sunday.
Simone who was part of the Great Britain National Cadet Team competed in the female -59kgs. Simone won 2 matches on her way to the semi finals defeating Serbia 10-4 & Holland on golden point, Simone then lost out to the eventual winner from Croatia who was the favourite to win the category.
Simone becomes Scorpion Taekwondo's 32nd major medal winner (the list can be found in the hall of famebutton)
Congratulations also to the rest of the GB Team including Viroshan Gnanapandithan on winning gold, Tia Thompson & Leah Moorby on their Bronze medals.

A massive well done to the Scorpion Team who competed at the Copenhagen Cup over the weekend.
Scorpions took 8 players winning 1 Gold, 1 Silver & 3 Bronze with the rest of the team losing very close quarter finals.
